Zenitsu was always going to be a character that required getting use to. I always figured that with this series he would be more than a coward. While he remains one, he has shown some willingness to change. This episode gives him more complexity. Zenitsu flees from the creepy spiders demons with human heads. Turns out that when the original human head spider demon injects venom into humans they become spider demons. Of course, Zenitsu is bitten on the hand. Zenitsu panics in a tree. We get a flashback, of him crying in a tree (with brown hair). His master (Gramps) begs him to get out of the tree. Zenitsu realizes that while he wants to live up to the expectations of his master, he lacks the ability to do so.
The series is licensed by Aniplex of America[5] and streamed Crunchyroll, Hulu, and FunimationNow.[6] AnimeLab is simulcasting the series in Australia and New Zealand.[7] The series ran for 26 episodes and adapted the manga from the beginning of the first volume to the first chapters of the seventh.[8]
Prior to airing, the first five episodes screened theatrically in Japan for two weeks from March 29, 2019, under the title Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kyōdai no Kizuna (鬼滅の刃 兄妹の絆).[9] Aniplex of America screened the film at the Aratani Theatre in Los Angeles on March 31, 2019.[10] Madman Entertainment through AnimeLab screened the film in select theatres in Australia on April 2, 2019.[11] In July 2019, it was announced that the series' English dub would air on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block; the dub would premiere on October 13, 2019.[12][13][a]
I can't promise that all of Zenitsu's past and future shenanigans will end up being worth the hassle, but this episode is another sign that he can work when he's given the opportunity to be a nuanced character capable of growth. I actually liked all the deftly drawn sight gags this week, probably because there was an emotional core behind them. Tanjiro and Insouke might be busy dealing with the terrifying patriarch of the Spider Demon Clan, but for the first time in a while, I'm looking forward to when they meet back up with Zenitsu and become a trio again.
Alright alright, I brushed you off a bit quick. A big really tough guy with a monster face I think Demon Slayer has moved way past that. We had more or less the same thing in the headless demon puppet just a few episodes ago and he was headless which is way scarier. Unless he turns out to have something more interesting up his sleeve than being strong and hard to kill, no matter how fun the battle choreography will be to watch (cause they have some really good fighting choreographies in this show!), I will consider him a throwaway character. His wife was wayyyy more interesting! 59ce067264
